Dive team training
In 1997, a new partnership was formed between the Clermont County Sheriff's Office and Task Force One, a Hamilton County, Ohio underwater search and rescue unit consisting of personnel from the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department and Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. Through its affiliation with Task Force One, the Clermont County Sheriff's Office has acquired access to state of the art water craft, dive, and rescue equipment costing thousands of dollars. Clermont County Sheriff's Office Deputies and Jail Corrections Officers are members of Task Force One. The unit remains proficient by training regularly and has responded to calls for assistance throughout the tri-state area. Operations include underwater search, rescue, and recovery of bodies and evidence. In 1999 the Sheriff's Office was awarded a law enforcement block grant that was used to purchase a high-tech jet propelled boat for Task Force use.
