Re: B&E Arrest
Monroe Township, Clermont County - Patrol Units responded to a B/E alarm last night, February 15, 2007, at approximately 10:00pm. Upon arrival the front door of the Laurel Country Store was discovered broken and entry made. Approximately $450.00 dollars cash and 32 cartoons of cigarettes were taken, for a total theft of $2770.68.
During the early morning hours of Friday, February 16, 2007, Cincinnati Police District One advised our office of a subject in custody that was attempting to trade cigarettes for narcotics. The cigarettes were examined and found to have the stamp of the Laurel Store. Sheriff's Office Corporal Chris Stratton further questioned the suspect who confessed to the offense and was transported to the Clermont County Jail and charged. He was later released after appearing for a bond hearing and given an OR bond.
The investigation is ongoing at this time. Currently charged in this case:
*Suspect: Jason D. Sprague M/W/22, 2344 Laycock Cutoff Road, New Richmond Ohio 45157
*Charged with one count of Breaking and Entering, ORC 2911.13 Felony 5
