Re: Shooting at 1571 U.S. 50
The Following is a synopsis of the shooting at the above address in Clermont County OH which occurred this morning:
The complainant, Cassandra Gray, F/W 28, of 1571 US 50 near Milford, OH stated that at approx. 0730 hours Monday 4/17, she was awakened by her dogs barking. She got up and observed Gary L. Glass standing in her doorway pointing a shotgun at her. Glass told her to get dressed and that they were going to leave. He stated that he was going to kill her and then kill himself. She was able to talk Glass into allowing her to let her dogs out and then let her dogs back into the house. In the process she was able to get to a telephone and call 911. Glass saw her do this and began to struggle with her in her bedroom. She was able to get away from him and grab the shotgun. She ran into the dining room with Glass coming after her and this is when she shot him. She was able to break away and fled to a bedroom and locked the door. Glass reportedly is an ex-boyfriend of the complainant.
Glass was transported via Air Care to University Hospital and at last report was being treated for his injuries, which included gunshot wounds to his lower body and legs. They do not appear to be life-threatening at this time.
Gary L. Glass M/W 32, 1878 Main Street, Goshen OH is being charged with the following:
- Felonious Assault – Felony II
- Aggravated Burglary - Felony I
- Kidnapping - Felony I
- Having Weapon Under Disability - Felony III
At the time of this incident, Glass was out on bond for the following:
- Aggravated Menacing - filed 1-28-06 involved Glass threatening the complainant with a knife (Miami Tsp Police handled this case)
- Intimidation of a crime victim - related to a Burglary/Grand theft felony case out of Common Pleas Court for which he is also out on bond for. This was indicted on 2-8-06.
He is also out on bond for a Criminal Damaging offense which is an incident where Glass slashed the tires of the complainant. This occurred in Goshen and was filed on 3-6-06.
