Re: Meth Lab Arrest
This a.m. (Thurs) at approx 9 a.m. Agents from the Clermont County Narcotics Unit supported by the Clermont Co Sheriff’s SRT (Special Response Team) executed a search warrant at a residential property at 2353 Laurel Nicholsville Rd, Monroe Tsp, New Richmond area. This action followed an investigation concerning alleged Meth manufacturing activity at that location. The search resulted in the discovery of a fully operational Meth lab. Items recovered indicate that the operation was fairly large scale. The property was configured into a compound type complex with an outbuilding containing Meth and manufacturing supplies, privacy fences to obstruct the view, etc.
Items recovered include: Anhydrous ammonia, sulfuric acid, lithium batteries, ether, mason jars, and Meth. The Meth is being analyzed, measured, weighed, etc. to determine the quantity. The USDEA is assisting the Narcotics Unit with dismantling and cleaning up the site.
One person was arrested at the scene: Rodney Chadwell, m/w 42 of the same address of the search. He has been charged with Illegal Manufacture of Meth and Having a Firearm Under Disability (that he had in his possession at the time of the search). He is confined in the Clermont County Jail and will have a bond hearing in Clermont County Municipal Court. The investigation is continuing and additional arrests and charges may follow.
