Subject: Death of Child

Date: July 4, 2005

This evening at approx 5:20 p.m. Deputies and EMS units were dispatched to a residence at 3677 Tanbark Ct., Amelia, Clermont County, OH.  Upon arrival it was reported that a 4 year old boy, Andy Jones, had been found inside a Honda Accord parked at the residence after his parents had noticed he was missing.  The father of the boy, Stephen Jones, found the boy in the car, removed him and noticed he was in distress.  He then called 911.  Air Care responded and upon arrival the Air Care staff determined the boy was deceased.  He was transported to Cincinnati where the Hamilton County Coroner will conduct an autopsy and forensic tests in an attempt to determine the cause of death.  At this time there is no evidence or information indicating that the tragic death of the boy was the result of  foul play or a criminal act, however, no conclusions will be reached until the completion of the autopsy and further investigation.
