Re: Call from Alert Citizen Aids in Recovery of Stolen Property

Clermont County, Ohio - On September 13, 2007, at 3:52 a.m. Clermont County Deputies were dispatched to 202 Eagle Point Drive in Washington Township after a citizen called and reported a suspicious vehicle. Minutes later Deputy Sean Schubert initiated a traffic stop on a black F-350 Ford Truck with an attached trailer attempting to leave the area. A subsequent investigation revealed that the truck, as well as eight quad runners and two motorcycles were stolen hours before from Kings Customs Motorcycles located at 3325 State Route 222 in Batavia Township. Deputies stopped another vehicle in the vicinity and two additional subjects were identified as accomplices in the thefts. Information obtained led to the recovery of tools, another stolen vehicle and motorcycle at 522 Light Street in Felicity OH and the execution of a search warrant at 125 Storage where a Honda motorcycle was located. All the motorized vehicles identified in this case were stolen from Kings Customs Motorcycles. The investigation is continuing with the possibility of recovering additional items. The property recovered thus far is valued at approximately $100,000.

Thanks to the observation of an alert citizen, thousands of dollars of stolen property was recovered and the perpetrators were arrested. Photographs of those charged can be obtained by contacting Mary Gregory at 732-7405. It is possible that additional charges may result from this investigation once the case is presented to the Clermont County Grand Jury. We will update members of the media should additional information become available. Arrested and charged are:
