Batavia Township Copper Thefts

Re: Batavia Township Copper Thefts

Clermont County Sheriff’s investigators working co-operatively with investigators from Union Township Police Department presented evidence to a Clermont County Grand Jury on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 which lead to indictments of three Batavia Township men. The three were charged with removing copper from homes under construction on at least 17 different occasions. The thefts occurred in August and September of this year, and the case remains under investigation. Investigators estimate the trio is responsible for removing $9000 worth of copper from Batavia Township homes under construction. 

Those charged are:

Tierney D. Hensley, 19 years of age, 4580 Brookview Drive, Batavia, 45103.  He is charged with seven counts of Breaking and Entering, (felonies of the fifth degree).

Andrew Scott Blankenship, 20 years of age, 4575 Montclair Place, Batavia, 45103.  He is charged with four counts of Breaking and Entering, (felonies of the fifth degree).

Adam M. Murray, 18 years of age, 4574 Clermont Lane, Batavia, 45103.  He is charged with six counts of Breaking and Entering, (felonies of the fifth degree).

Deputies will be serving the indictments within the coming days.  Photographs will be available after the persons are official served and processed and can be obtained by calling Mary Gregory at 732-7405.
