Re: Arrest in Copper Thefts

Recently in our county we have had reports of copper thefts from various locations.  I am pleased to report that a number of cases have recently been closed through diligent investigative efforts resulting in an arrest.

Specifically seventeen copper thefts at various locations on US Route 52 and one burglary at 1301 State Rt 133 were involved.  Our investigative unit obtained information that resulted in focus upon Dennis Burdsall who had a previous indictment for breaking and entering.  Burdsall confessed to committing the thefts on US 52 near SR 133 and to a burglary at 1301 SR 133, and stated he took the copper from the camp sites to Butler Recycling in Maysville, KY.

A jail photo is available through Mary Gregory, 732-7450 or mgregory@co.clermont.oh.us
