Re: Drug Trafficking in New Richmond, Ohio

New Richmond, Ohio
- The Clermont County Sheriff announced today, the indictment of seven mid-level drug traffickers in and around the Village of New Richmond, in southern Clermont County.

Chief Deputy Rick Combs said, “Undercover agents were able to purchase approximately thirty-two pounds of marijuana and in excess of fifteen grams of crack cocaine.  The combined value of the drugs is estimated at $47,000.00.” He said agents received information from village residents and leaders after they expressed concerns about suspicious behavior in the area. Sheriff Rodenberg is hopeful that this operation and the indictments will curb the drug trade in the area and looks forward to future action by drug agents.

The investigation, a priority for the Clermont County Narcotics Unit, has been on going for several months and continues to be closely monitored. More arrests are anticipated as the investigation moves forward. Those having information or suspicion of drug activity in this area of Clermont County are encouraged to report the information to the Clermont County Narcotics Unit 625-2806.
