Domestic Violence Incident

Mark Bolin

Tate Township

On Monday, 3-1-2010, Clermont Co. Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to the Dollar General Store located on the corner of SR 125 and Airport Rd. in Bethel OH for a domestic dispute report.

Upon arrival contact was made with an adult female, Ora Angel, who stated she had been in an argument with her live in boyfriend, Mark  Bolin, 37 yoa, at their residence, 3543 Patterson Road, Bethel OH.

When she was leaving that location in her minivan Mark Bolin threw a hammer at her vehicle breaking the window behind the driver’s seat of the vehicle. The hammer went through the window and struck two year old Eli Bolin in the face.  A third party in the vehicle was five year old Tristan Angel who was unharmed. Tristan Angel picked up the hammer and tossed it out the window.

Following this, Ora Angel drove from the scene with the children to the Dollar General store.  An EMS unit responded, and Ms. Angel and her children were transported to Brown County Hospital for examination/treatment. The only person needing treatment was two year old Eli Bolin who received stitches to his lip.

Deputies responded to the residence to take Mark Bolin into custody but he was not there. After consulting with the Clermont Co. Prosecutor’s Office, the following charges were filed against Mark Bolin:  Domestic Violence, Aggravated Menacing, and two counts of Child Endangering, all misdemeanors of the 1st degree which carry possible jail confinement of 6 months for each charge.

Bolin was found and arrested on Tuesday afternoon, March 2nd without incident and confined in the Clermont Co. Jail.  In court on March 3rd, a Protection Order was issued and Bolin’s bond was set at $16,000.  His next scheduled court hearing is on March 17th before Judge Tom Herman in Clermont Co. Municipal Court.
