Counterfeiting Case

Loughner

Union Township, Clermont County - According to Sheriff Rodenberg, “On the evening of January 12, 2009, the Clermont County Narcotics Unit obtained a search warrant for a residence located at 1349 Baldwin Road in Union Township.  Narcotics Unit agents, with the assistance of the Union Township Police Department and the US Secret Service, executed the warrant without incident.  $1,100.00 of counterfeit currency, drug paraphernalia, and a variety of prescription medication was recovered during the search.   Counterfeiting is rare in Clermont County with less than a half a dozen reports generated annually.”

Chief Deputy Rick W. Combs reports that, “Adam Loughner, 24 years of age, listing an address of 2535 State Route 50 Batavia, Ohio, was taken into custody and charged with Forgery (Felony 5) and Criminal Simulation (Felony 5), both charges are pending lab analysis and will be presented to the Grand Jury at a later date. Loughner is in the Clermont County Jail under a $50,000.00 cash or professional bond. The case is still under investigation and it is possible that additional charges will be presented to the Grand Jury once all the evidence is evaluated.”
