A couple on a motorcycle saw the suspect and owner running westbound on U.S. 50. Mr. Patel told them to stop and advised he just got robbed. The couple stated they saw the suspect go behind a house near corner of Fomorin Rd. and U.S. 50. They saw the subject had a gun in his hand and it appeared to be a semi-automatic, possibly a 9MM.
The scene was secured and a K-9 unit responded to the scene for a track. The crime scene tech also responded to the scene for processing. The K-9 did not locate a suspect or any further evidence. The ball cap dropped by the subject inside the store was retained as evidence.
