Several weeks ago a complaint was filed on behalf of the 11 year old Cincinnati Yankees Youth Baseball team of the Milford OH Community Athletic Organization. Suspicion arose among the team’s finance committee members when Dan Bullard III, the team’s coach, resisted providing documentation regarding the team’s financial affairs. An investigation by the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office investigative unit revealed that Bullard had used the team’s bank debit card for unauthorized ATM cash withdrawals, gas station purchases, meals at various restaurants, and for the purchase of 4 new tires for his personal vehicle. As a result of the monetary loss, team members were not able to participate in a planned tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, yet continued to play locally and had a successful regular season. Some vendors who provided either services or equipment to the team while Bullard had control of the teams bank account, are still seeking payment.
