Subject: Vehicular Attack of Mother and Child
Batavia Township, Clermont County - Uniformed Deputies were called at approximately 1:30 p.m. to an apartment complex at 4385 Armstrong Boulevard in Batavia Township. Deputies determined that a pick-up truck had been driven through the front of one of the apartment units. Chief Deputy Rick W. Combs said, “Deputies reported the truck was almost completely inside the apartment where the mother and child resided”. Richard Johnson, 30 years of age, was apprehended at the scene by a deputy. The victim, Regina Bowman, 29 years of age, was transported by Central Joint Fire and EMS to University Hospital where, according to units on the scene, her injuries were not thought to be life threatening. The child, a 3 year old female, was unharmed during the incident and is currently in the custody of a family member.
Deputies had been to the apartment on prior occasions for domestic disputes not involving assaults or other criminal conduct. Johnson has been charged with two counts of Felonious Assault, felonies of the 2nd degree, and confined in the Clermont County Jail. Additional charges maybe considered once investigators confer with the county prosecutor. Arrested:
