Jackson Township- On Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at approx 445 p.m. the Clermont County Communications Center received a 911 call from Betty Cox residing at 5152 Monterey Maple Grove Rd., Jackson Township, Clermont County.
Ms. Cox reported that her son, Shon A. Robinson age 22 became enraged over not being allowed to borrow a car and he removed a .22 rifle from the closet and began firing several shots within the house through windows, walls, and the ceiling. Mason Crum, another son who was present, and Ms. Cox attempted to take the firearm from Robinson’s possession during which Ms. Cox took a glass jug and struck Robinson in his head. Robinson then dropped the rifle and fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of Deputies.
Ms. Cox reported that Robinson may have shot himself prior to his running away. Deputies called Robinson on his cell phone which he had with him, and then found Robinson nearby and determined that he had not been shot, although blood was on him from cuts to his head.
A squad responded to the scene and checked Robinson, Crum, and Ms. Cox. No visible injuries were found on any of the subjects other than the cuts to Robinson.
Robinson was taken into custody and charged with Improperly Discharging a Firearm in a Habitation and Having Weapons While Under Disability, both Felony offenses.
