Batavia, Ohio- Pursuant to a request from the Covington, Kentucky Police Department, the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office will assist with an operation commencing on Wednesday, October 20th, 2010 involving individuals from other organizations who will search East Fork State Park near the Williamsburg dock area. The objective of the search is to find any evidence that might be at the site relating to the disappearance of Paige Johnson, age 17, of Florence, Kentucky.
Although East Fork Park will not be closed, citizens are asked not to travel within the above area on Wednesday to avoid interfering with the search or disturbing potential evidence.
Members of the media who wish to obtain further information concerning the search or related investigation should contact the Covington Police Department (Captain Nally at 859-801-2222), or may come to the media staging area in the parking lot of the Boar’s Head Carry Out, 2818 Old State Route 32, Batavia Township, on October 20th, 2010 at or after 9:00 AM. Officials will be at that location on Wednesday to answer questions and provide updates concerning the search.
