Batavia Township (updated 02-11-10)
At approx 9 p.m. on Wednesday 2-3-2010, the Clermont Co. Communications Center received a 911 call from Beth Lee, 39 years old, of 1447 Homewood Ct. in Amelia, Ohio (Batavia Twp.) advising that her soon to be ex husband, Michael Lee, 1015 Canticleer Way, Union Township, Clermont County, age 35, had been stabbed.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene, and upon arrival noted that Beth Lee and a 26 year old male, Grimardy “Mandy” Vazquez Sanchez, 7285 Fairground Road, Blanchester, Ohio, were rendering first aid to Michael Lee who had an approx. 3’’ laceration to his left side/upper torso.
Mr. Sanchez was identified as the person who caused the knife wound. Beth Lee stated that Michael Lee had forced his way into her residence and that Sanchez acted in self defense.
EMS arrived on scene minutes later and determined Mr. Lee needed to be air lifted to University Hospital. As of 11:30 p.m. Michael Lee was reportedly in stable condition.
The investigative findings were reviewed and assessed by the Clermont County Prosecutor’s office. Following this the case was presented to the Clermont County Grand Jury on February 10th and the following indictment was returned against Michael Lee:
1) Aggravated burglary-2911.11, felony of the first degree (possible 10 years in prison)
2) Domestic violence-2919.25, misd. of the first degree (possible 6 mos. in jail)
3) Menacing by stalking- 2903.211, misd. of the first degree (possible 6 mos. In jail)
Lee has not yet been booked into the jail and therefore no photo is available at this time. He is still in University Hospital recovering from the stab wound.
The individual who stabbed Lee, Grimardy Sanchez, will not be charged or indicted based upon the investigative findings and assessment by the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office.
