The Clermont County Police Memorial was dedicated on October 9, 2004. Located at the Milford Community Fire Department on U.S. Route 50, the memorial stands in remembrance of the fallen law enforcement officers of Clermont County.

Detective Bill Brewer was shot and killed after responding to call from a suicidal man armed with a gun at an apartment complex at 368 St. Andrews Drive in Pierce Township.

Samuel Eugene Rouvier

End of Watch: Saturday, May 21, 1966

Deputy Rouvier was injured on the evening of April 28, 1966 while he and Clermont County Prosecutor Robert Jones were concluding a murder investigation. Deputy Rouvier’s vehicle rounded a curve in the road and came upon three horses running side by side toward him. The horses ran into his vehicle. He suffered a severe head wound and succumbed to his injuries 23 days later, having never regained consciousness. Robert Jones suffered minor injuries and recovered.
