On November 3rd, 2026, at approximately 6:51 p.m.
the New Richmond Police Department (NRPD) requested assistance from the
Clermont County Sheriff's Office regarding threats of violence made against the
New Richmond Middle School. Deputies from the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office
immediately responded and requested Detectives from the Investigative
Unit.
The investigation identified a 13-year-old male, 8th
grade student who resided in the High View Mobile Home Park of Monroe Township,

containing threats to shoot up New Richmond Middle School. Detectives made contact and interviewed the juvenile
who admitted to making the statements but advised that he had no intention of
carrying out the threats. With the
cooperation of the juvenile's guardians, detectives conducted a search of the
residence and confirmed that he did not have access to firearms.
This case was reviewed with the Clermont County Prosecutor’s
Office and it was determined the student would be charged with:

the 1st degree
(1)
count of Disorderly Conduct, a minor

The juvenile responsible for the threat was arrested by
Sheriff’s deputies and transported to the Clermont County Juvenile Detention
Center. The juvenile will remain in
custody and have a custody hearing on Wednesday November 4th, 2026
at 11am at the Clermont County Juvenile Court.
The juvenile was placed on suspension pending further
disciplinary processes by New Richmond School Officials.
