(1) count of Felonious Assault, a felony of the 2nd degree
(1) count of Abduction,
a felony of the 3rd degree
(1) count of
Assault, a misdemeanor of the 1st degree
The indictment stems from an August 27th, 2026, incident in the 200 block of Wooded Ridge Drive in Batavia Township. During the investigation, detectives with the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office obtained video footage from nearby residences documenting the incident.
At approximately 5:52 p.m., a female driving a blue Ford F-150 stopped in the roadway and exited her vehicle. The female confronted Ballard regarding concerns about his conduct toward her child and the verbal confrontation ultimately escalated into a physical altercation. Video footage shows Ballard striking the female multiple times and preventing her from leaving the scene in her truck.
The female was eventually able to re-enter her truck and leave the area. As she was driving away Ballard retrieved a firearm from his vehicle and pointed it at her. Detectives later recovered the firearm from the scene.
The female victim sustained cuts and bruising to her face as a result of the assault. She was treated on scene by Central Joint Fire and EMS for her injuries and declined transportation to the hospital.
Ballard provided a statement to detectives and admitted his involvement in the incident.
Ballard was taken into custody today without incident and transported to the Clermont County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Clermont County Common Pleas Court on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. in front of Judge Victor Haddad for his arraignment on the aforementioned charges.
Any further inquiries regarding this incident should be directed to the Clermont County Prosecutor’s Office at 513-732-7313.
